미국 주재 일본대사관에서 나온 실화다.

This is a true story from the Japanese Embassy in US !  다음 이야기는 미국 주재 일본대사관에서 나온 실화다.                                       A  few years ago, Prime Minister Mori was given some Basic English conversation training before he visits Washington and meets president Bill Clinton... 몇 년 전에  일본 수상 모리 씨는 그가 워싱턴을 방문하여 빌 클린턴 대통령을 만나기 전에 기본적인 영어 회화 교습을 받았다.  The instructor told Mori "Prime  Minister, when you shake hand with President Clinton, please say  'How r u'."  강습 교사는 모리 수상에게 "수상님, 클린턴 대통령과 악수하실 때 'How r u (안녕하십니까)'라고 하세요"라고 말했다.  "Then Mr. Clinton should say, 'I am fine, and you?'  Now, you should say 'me too'.    "그러면 클린턴 씨가 '나는 모든 일이 잘 되고 있는 데 댁에서는 '하고 물을 텐데 그러면 'mee too (나도요)' 하세요.    Afterwards we,  translators, will do the work for you.' 그다음부터는 우리 통역자들이 다 알아서 할 것입니다"    It looks quite  simple, but the truth is....  아주 단순한 일 같이 보였지만 실제로 일어난 사실은...    When Mori met Clinton, he mistakenly said 'Who r u?' (Instead of 'How r u?'.)  모리가 클린턴을 맛났을 때 그는 실수하여 (how 대신에 who  ) "누구시죠?'해 버렸다.  Mr. Clinton was a bit shocked but still managed to react with humor:  클링 온 씨는 약간 당황했으나 태연히 유모로 대응했다.  'Well, I'm Hillary's husband, ha-ha...'  '나요? 힐러리의 남편 되지요, 하하...'    Then Mori replied 'Me too, ha-ha... .'.  그러니 모리 씨가 답하기를 'mee too (나도요), 하하 ..."  Then there was a long silence in the meeting room  !!!!!!  그런 후 그 회의실엔 한참 동안 긴 침묵이 흘렀다!!!!
